3rd Annual Convocation of GTU was organized on 16th January 2014 at GTU Chandkheda Campus. H.E. Shrimati Kamla , Governor of Gujarat and Chancellor of GTU led the procession at the opening ceremony.

GTU presented the Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy to Padmashri Dr. Vijay Bhatkar. Dr Vijay Bhatkar is one of the most acclaimed IT leaders of India

Dr. Bhatkar said that “I feel pleasure to receive honorary doctorate in philosophy in presence of Honourable Chancellor, Dr. Mantha and Dr. Akshai Aggarwal

H.E. Dr. Shrimati Kamlaji conferred the degrees on all the students. . A total of 62687 students were eligible to get degree/diploma at the 3rd Annual Convocation

Around 6500 people including students, parents, academicians and other dignitaries’ witnessed the grand 3rd Annual Convocation of Gujarat Technological University
